The Opioid Affected Youth Initiative (OAYI) invites you to join us on March 12, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., ET, to continue exploring strategies for addressing the challenges associated with opioid and other substance use disorders (SUDs) among children, youth, and families.
In this webinar, Dr. Yngvild Olsen, director of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), will access the framework for data-informed decision-making between public health and public safety that enhances relationship-building and collaboration to reduce overdose deaths and harms associated with substance misuse. This session will highlight the benefits of medicated-assisted treatment (MAT) as an evidence-based modality in sustaining recovery from opioid misuse while de-stigmatizing MAT and reappraising it as a lifesaving approach to building stronger and more supportive communities.
Prevention Action Alliance’s advocacy webinar provides updates on events, bills, and legislation along with other prevention and wellness advocacy-related activities within state and federal government. The webinars are held on the third Thursday of every month from 10AM to 11AM. CEUs are provided.
The Community Health Education & Resiliency Program (CHERP) is sponsoring the 2024 Hope in Healing Native Opioid Summit at the Clyde Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico from March 12-14, 2024.
